Enrichment

 In September 2019, the educational watchdog, OFSTED, created a new inspection framework that requires schools to develop their students’ cultural capital. The framework further reflects on ‘Personal Development’ and how schools support children to learn skills and realise talents, develop character and resilience, and learn about British values, diversity and mental health & well-being.

As a school, we place a high value in the lessons our students learn outside of the classroom – this is reflected in the rich diversity of our enrichment offer, which all students are able to access as part of their school day.

Sessions offered change from term to term and enable our students to focus on developing new hobbies or interests; skills or knowledge or to investigate and interpret current events.

Some of the sessions currently offered include:

 KS1 & KS2- offered as Enrichment Days within the Term

KS3 and KS4 Enrichments are picked by the students on a termly basis. We have a number of additional qualifications available for our students during this time and careers focussed learning. Personal Study and Study Cafes are offered to our KS4 learners as they approach formal qualifications and Mock Exam Periods.
